Czech Republic wins U-16, U-19 Men’s Softball European Championships

U-16 Junior Men’s Softball European Championship

The Czech Republic is the first-ever European Softball Champion in the U-16 men’s category.

The Czechs remained undefeated from the first game to the final game. None of the other teams were strong enough to stop the Czech offense, the statistics show clearly that the Czech boys did exceptionally well during the whole tournament.

The final game’s score was 15:0 over Israel. The Czechs won in three innings, the same way the won the semifinal against the Danish earlier. The game was closed by a walk-off two-run home run by Krystof Tomek.

The final standings are:

3. Denmark

4. Croatia

The Czech Republic won the U-19 Junior Men’s European title for the fourth time in a row.

The Czechs remained undefeated throughout the whole tournament and won most of their games on a run-ahead-rule. The only team, who was capable of challenging the Czechs were the Danish.

The final game ended with a 10:0 score, Czech batters hit four home runs in the final game and didn’t allow a single run.
